San Diego State University Launches New Homepage

San Diego, CA - August 16, 2010 - San Diego State University today unveiled its new homepage, a dramatic showcase of the university’s inventive people, innovative research and critical initiatives.

Check it out at http://www.sdsu.edu/.

The bold redesign features eight "cover stories" with striking imagery and video, which highlight significant work by SDSU students, faculty, staff and alumni.

"When visiting the site, you get to experience SDSU through the eyes of the people who make it such a world-class university," said Mary Ruth Carleton, SDSU vice president of University Relations and Development.

"You're searching for a normal life after two deployments to Iraq; you're rebuilding a school in a poor African village; you're exploring outer space for Earth-like planets. That's the SDSU experience."

The new page includes several areas to feature news, events, profiles, blogs and videos. It also features a new events calendar, a new mobile app and links to SDSU’s online communities.

The page also provides links to resources for future students, current students, faculty and staff, and alumni. Main navigation points readers to the important information visitors look for about the university, admissions, academic programs, research and campus life.

Design templates for SDSU colleges and departments

For offices and departments interested in building new sites or converting existing sites to a design that complements the new homepage, e-mail Aaron Hoskins at ahoskins@mail.sdsu.edu.

Campus web developers can use the HTML/CSS version of the template, which is available immediately.

Another version of the template will soon be available in a content management system, which provides an easy way for non-web developers to build and maintain websites.

For more information, please e-mail ahoskins@mail.sdsu.edu.

Project development

Many groups took part in the homepage redesign project, including:

• The President’s Cabinet
• SDSU Web Committee and homepage subcommittee
• University Computing Office
• Associated Students
• University Senate
• Other campus constituent groups

The SDSU Department of Marketing and Communications managed the project that began in the fall of 2009. Jeff Ernst, senior graphic designer, designed the homepage.

Project leaders expressed special thanks to Edgar Hodge, Craig Sadler and Brent Coe for their work to deliver the new homepage in a stable and secure environment.

The homepage is delivered through a robust content management system developed by DreamBox Creations the Southern California-based full-service consulting firm that built and deployed SDSU NewsCenter nearly two years ago.

While maintaining compliance with accessibility guidelines, the system has proven its extensibility in adoption across the campus while continuing to leverage the latest user-experience techniques.

Los Angeles, CA - November 19, 2009 - What began in November of 1999 as a vague idea to change the way the web was built has now matured into a ten year old consulting firm with a laundry-list of successes and an envied client-list. The road has been long and often challenging, yet the combined commitment of this talented team has resulted in a well-oiled machine able to take on an increasingly-wider variety of projects.

Ten years has seen the company: move into its seventh and current office space (where roots have been planted for the next three years at least), develop an employee benefits package among the best available anywhere, recruit and retain a diverse and close-knit team of experienced professionals and thrive with 9 straight years of revenue growth (fiscal year ten ends December 31st) and client successes. Internal fiscal prudence has resulted in a firm able to continue offering clients top-tier product at very affordable pricing while continuing to address employee-needs.

Customers that come to Dreambox stay with us for many of their own reasons: our cost, our devotion to their reputation and future, our ability to get the job done…etc. Regardless of why – it is our comprehensive method of approaching each project and client-relationship that define who we are and how we are here to celebrate this milestone.

Ten years after starting with a brainstorming session held at a local Starbucks one weekend afternoon the firm’s future is bright. With an unmatched active client-list in the national foodservice industry, a tremendous number of thriving E-commerce customers and extensive government clients that rely on our services daily we are proud of what we’ve done and excited about what’s possible tomorrow.

Over the past ten years nearly forty people have come through the doors of Dreambox and built products that we hope you’ve experienced, enjoyed and benefited from. To all of you that have been a part – nice work.

Ten years of Dreambox: Sanyo, Harvey, Frank, Jung, Peter, Dan, Danielle, James, Hazel, Alvin, Tanya, Helen, Chris, Cesar, Johnson, Stella, Edgar, Samrina, Evan, Matt, Chris, Crystal, Leo, Andrew, Jared, Luis, Lin, Luke, James, Jeff, Mariano, Lynette, Mark, Tammy, Nick, Adam

About DreamBox Creations, Inc.
DreamBox Creations, a member of the Small Business Administration's federal 8(a) business development program, is a full service Internet consulting company providing services in the core areas of creative media design, business technology solutions, and e-marketing services.
The Last Word in Shopping Comparison Sites Helps Visitors ‘Just Save It’

The Last Word in Shopping Comparison Sites Helps Visitors ‘Just Save It’

Los Angeles, CA – March 29, 2009 – Late last night, a blip on the shopping comparison site landscape appeared, helping shoppers find the best bargains on everything from electronics to household goods to clothing to, well, everything. The name of this rapidly growing blip? JustSaveIt.com. The mission of this site? To help people “just save it,” getting the best price on whatever they are shopping for, period.

A new take on the mass-imitated shopping-comparison site model, www.JustSaveIt.com is best described as the ultimate comparison site of shopping-comparison sites. Or, put more simply, it’s a way to shop all the major shopping-comparison sites at once. Sites like Google Product Search, Shopzilla, Pricegrabber, Bizrate, and Shopping.com have relationships with the merchants making their products available in the search results, which may have some influence on the selling price shown. Some relationships might be better than others, and some merchants might not even be listed depending on which shopping site is being used. This requires shoppers to visit several comparison sites to ensure they are really are getting the best price.

JustSaveIt.com changes all that. When a user searches for a product name, sku number, or other term, the site instantly returns a list of results with the lowest prices. By searching the most widely-used shopping-comparison sites, each of which invests significant time and money attempting to beat the others out, JustSaveIt.com simply finds the best prices from ALL the sites and displays the results in one simple, easy-to-read list. And because we let them do all the spending, we don’t need to clutter up the screen with annoying ads, hyperlinks, or promos. Just pure shopping results for some serious savings. After all, saving IS the reason you use a shopping-comparison site in the first place, right?

Media Contact:
info@JustSaveIt.com
909-396-1730

JustSaveIt.com is a trademark of JustSaveIt.com.
Haru Takes a Second Look with DreamBox

Haru Takes a Second Look with DreamBox

Los Angeles, CA - March 1, 2008 - Haru, a modern Japanese restaurant group with nine high profile restaurants in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston, recently launched a new website to better reflect its inventive cuisine and striking interior designs. Produced by DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading full service Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County, the site presents a modern, stylish layout and spotlights the individual aesthetics of each location, the expansive menu selection, and rave press reviews.

The new site is actually the second that DreamBox has produced for Haru. The first site, launched several years ago, was a simple and straightforward site designed to give the restaurant group an initial online presence. As they became more established and gained greater exposure, Haru turned to an advertising agency to launch the next iteration of their site.

After only a year however, Haru returned to DreamBox with a request to create an entirely new site for the restaurant group.

"We're very pleased and proud that Haru returned to DreamBox to produce a new site," commented Danielle Takata, VP, Creative Media. "Here is a client who had the opportunity to work with an established ad agency yet chose to return to us within such a short period of time, despite the cost invested in that engagement. I can't think of a stronger affirmation of our skills and capabilities, and our ability to continuing to work successfully with clients as their businesses evolve."

The new site has been received with widespread acclaim and includes features such as location-specific pages, online employment application forms, online catering and special event requests, and secure gift card purchasing.

The new site can be accessed at http://www.harushushi.com.

About DreamBox Creations, Inc.
DreamBox Creations, a member of the Small Business Administration's federal 8(a) business development program, is a full service Internet consulting company providing services in the core areas of creative media design, business technology solutions, and e-marketing services.

Los Angeles, CA - November 29, 2007 - For the second time in as many years, DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading full service Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County, threw its hat into the ring to produce The Fish Market website and again came out on top of the competition. With nine locations in California and Arizona, The Fish Market is widely acclaimed for its uncompromising dedication to freshness and quality, leading the San Diego Union Tribune to rate it as "probably the most successful restaurant on the California Coast."

The first DreamBox-produced site, launched in 2005, sported a clean and simple layout. Designed to complement The Fish Market's unpretentious and no-frills approach to serving the absolute freshest in seafood dishes, the site focused on clear and concise presentation of information.

As the popularity of seafood houses continued to increase however, so did the competition, and management realized that a redesign would be necessary to effectively position their brand in front of their target demographics. Their new site requirements called for increased visual impact, interactivity, and multiple levels of engaging content. DreamBox successfully demonstrated its ability to provide the necessary services and was again selected over numerous other vendors to produce the new site.

"We're very proud that The Fish Market chose DreamBox to produce their next site," remarked Dan Bejmuk, VP, Operations. "This site is a very different implementation from the previous version we produced for them, so it meant a lot to go up against a number of other vendors, showcase our skills and capabilities, and be selected again." Features of the new site include highly detailed Flash animation, creative presentation of FAQs and seafood trivia, an online store, mailing list, and integrated door-to-door directions. All elements are carefully coordinated to drive brand loyalty and restaurant patronage.

The new site can be accessed at www.thefishmarket.com.

About DreamBox Creations, Inc.
DreamBox Creations, a member of the Small Business Administration's federal 8(a) business development program, is a full service Internet consulting company providing services in the core areas of business management systems, creative media, system integration, e-business consulting, and application hosting.
DreamBox Creations, Inc. Serves Some Online Sizzle for El Torito and El Torito Grill

Los Angeles, CA - April 27, 2007 - El Torito, the largest Mexican restaurant brand in California, and its more upscale version, El Torito Grill, have launched new sites designed and produced by DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading full service Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County. With nearly 80 locations, including franchise locations in Europe and Asia, the duo's focus on authentic Mexican fare and fresh, high-quality ingredients is leading them to growing success throughout the nation. Additionally, El Torito Grill's fusion of innovative contemporary dishes gives the pair a solid hold on the full range of Mexican casual dining.

As two of the restaurant concepts within the Real Mex Restaurants family, the El Torito and El Torito Grill sites needed to leverage the tools of the Real Mex parent site, also produced by DreamBox. To accomplish this, the sites were built on top of the existing DreamBox content management system (CMS) to reduce unnecessary duplication costs.

The sites also offer signups for their specials emails list, gift card purchases, proximity searches for restaurant locations, and door-to-door directions. DreamBox was required to comply with each concept's strict style guide as well to support their very specific branding. Both sites were enthusiastically accepted.

"El Torito and El Torito Grill are great examples of a client who was able to take advantage of our many skills," remarked Danielle Takata, VP, Creative Media. "We're very proud of the value our clients are able to receive in working with a firm able to deliver on both the technical and artistic sides."

The new sites can be accessed at www.ElTorito.com and www.ETGrill.com.

About DreamBox Creations, Inc. Los Angeles, CA - February 8, 2007 - DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading full service Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County, launched a newly redesigned and developed site for California Replacement Windows, the premiere window and door replacement company in Southern California. With thousands of both standard and custom installations across San Diego, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange counties, California Replacement now has the look they need to support their continuing success.

Featuring the company's numerous product types, applications, and styles, the new site invites viewers to visit one of California Replacement's five showroom locations to view and test its offerings in closer detail. Interested homeowners can also easily request a free, no-obligation DVD packet or quote to learn more about everything from installation and replacement to product construction and window technology.

"California Replacement selected DreamBox as the best choice to design and produce a site that would both provide the desired features while effectively capturing the quality, dependability, and trustworthiness of their company," said Dan Bejmuk, Project Manager. "This was particularly important given the historically very mixed reputation of the industry they operate in. This demonstrates how valuable it has become to have a full-service firm capable of delivering the equally important technical and visual components of today's sites and systems."

The new site can be accessed at www.CalReplacement.com.

About DreamBox Creations, Inc.
Real Mex Restaurants Gets a Real New Look from DreamBox Creations, Inc.

Los Angeles, CA - December 10, 2006 - Real Mex Restaurants, the largest casual dining Mexican restaurant company in the United States, has gotten a new look from DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading full service Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County. With nearly 200 stores across 17 states in sales in excess of half a billion dollars, Real Mex was looking for a reliable and highly-talented partner who could complement its substantial offline operations by crafting and launching a newly redefined Internet presence.

The site pulls together information on Real Mex's multiple restaurant concepts including El Torito, Chevys, El Torito Grill, and Acapulco, along with several other brands.
