San Diego, CA - May 4, 2009 - There's a new place to go for all San Diego State University news: sdsu.edu/newscenter. The new website includes news about:
SDSU NewsCenter is a comprehensive website with up-to-the-minute news and features about San Diego State University, its people, programs and sponsored events. Special elements, such as video, podcasts, photo slide shows and more, add depth and dimension to the stories.
The site also features RSS feeds, share tools and other elements. They are designed to help readers customize content for Facebook, Twitter, iGoogle and other types of social networking sites, personalized web portals and profile pages.
Look and feel
SDSU NewsCenter looks and operates similar to the redesigned SDSUniverse site, which launched in the fall.
The site is designed to give readers easy access to layers of content, with convenient links to all types of stories from anywhere on the site. NewsCenter is intended to serve a wider audience and will feature news that will be relevant to people beyond the campus community.
Giveaways and other promotions
In May, SDSU NewsCenter will give away four iPod Shuffles. Check out the new site in May for details about this promotion and other great giveaways.
