Healthy Living Website Launches to Serve the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys
LOS ANGELES, CA - March 1, 2006 - In an effort to enhance awareness of and access to community obesity, nutrition, and physical activity programs and resources in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, DreamBox Creations, Inc., a leading Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County, has produced a new healthy living Website, www.EatWellLiveBetter.org. Funded by grants from Kaiser Permanente and the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services, the Website is a "one-stop-shop" with information, resources, and tools helpful in promoting healthy lifestyles through improved nutrition and increased physical activity.
The site targets residents and health service providers who live and work in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys. It features a searchable database of local parks and recreational centers, extensive nutritional information, and numerous links to other community resources. To manage the site, administrators from the local Health Planning Group utilize one of DreamBox's signature products, a custom content management system that enables non-technical personnel to make changes quickly and easily from any web browser using a simple-to-use word processor-like form.
