DreamBox Creations, Inc. Announces Acceptance Into the U.S. Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program
LOS ANGELES, CA - February 3, 2005 - DreamBox Creations, Inc., a rapidly growing Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles County, announced its certification and acceptance into the U.S. Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program. As a certified firm, DreamBox is better equipped to market to and work with government agencies and major government prime contractors striving to meet specific small business procurement and subcontracting goals.
Participation in the 8(a) program requires a stringent application process that is intended to identify companies that have overcome adversity and challenges and possess the potential to successfully provide goods and services to various government agencies. Once certified, 8(a) firms are eligible to compete for billions of dollars of setaside contracts in addition to generally available contracts, and in some cases become the sole provider on contracts up to $3 million in size for goods and services and up to $5 million for construction. In addition, a certified 8(a) or SDB firm is much more visible to major government prime contractors who have either legislated or self-imposed goals regarding the percentage of work that must be subcontracted to small firms.
