HT Magazine recognizes Benihana Web Site as Top Restaurant Site
MIAMI - April 11, 2003 - "HT Magazine," a trade magazine for the hospitality technology industry, recently honored Benihana with its Award of Excellence in the restaurant category. Judging for the award was conducted by a panel of professionals from the hospitality industry.
"The Benihana Web site is an integral part of our brand for consumers, and provides a wealth of information about both the restaurant and Japanese culture," said Kevin Aoki, vice president of marketing for Benihana. "We are thrilled that the Web site continues to get recognized by our customers and peers alike."
The Benihana Web site, launched in March, 2002, receives more than 4.5 million hits per month on average, and includes such features as an online store, Japanese greeting cards and a link to JapanCorner, a site dedicated to "everything Japanese." The site was the result of collaboration between Benihana Marketing and DreamBox Creations.
