Nestled in the hills of Eastern Los Angeles County is Cal Poly Pomona. A member of the 'Cal State' system - Cal Poly (along with its sister school - San Luis Obispo) prides itself on its 'learning by doing' philosophy.

Cal Poly Pomona's Department of Public Affairs is responsible for all University-based communications including the 'Polycentric' online magazine - this weekly online-magzine serves to communicate the latest in campus and community news to faculty, staff and students.

The Public Affairs department came to DreamBox looking for a way to streamline their article publishing and archiving system - which was being done manually - pulling a significant amount of creative time away from editors and writers.

DreamBox proposed and developed a full-featured Content Management System for the site. The password-protected system includes such features as keyword search, story archiving, weekly poll, and image upload through the browser.

Building on the success of the Polycentric project, DreamBox has been called on to work with a number of other departments / committees on campus of late including: the University Library, Career Center, Alumni Affairs and act as principal consultants to the University Web Committee.
